Robinson’s Shoes began as a humble shoe repair shop in Carrickfergus in 1954, evolving over decades into a renowned retailer and maker of premium, often bespoke, footwear—still family-run and celebrated for its commitment to quality, fit, and traditional craftsmanship.

The Challenge
Robinson Shoes is a staple of the Northern Ireland shoe space, having built up a reputation for incredible quality over a 100 years, alongside multiple stores it was time for them to move of an aging Magento platform. They wanted to refresh the site, keep the character and further expand on the functionality within Shopify that they were currently limited with. We wanted to keep the same products, content and imagery but refresh how the customer explored through the site.

The Solution
We started by building out a usable store interface, something aligned with the brand direction, we migrating all customers, orders, categories, discounts, pages and product attributes. Alongside this we setup new product data points, which included Shoe Last, and key information on the brands like specific colour naming conventions. This helped improve the site from an SEO point of view as customers search could find the exact model in the exact last in the exact colour they wanted.
